Mission 3: A Different World
(Expected in the Spring of 2026)

While at a book and pizza event at the Jefferson Market Library, amateur sleuths Pedro and Sophia, joined by their new assistants, Jeb and Liza, are about to become part of a dark tale. While leaving, Pedro stumbles against a secret panel that opens into a dusty hallway. A steel door is at the end. When they force it open, they find themselves in the sweltering Lower East Side in August 1909. Immigrants, child labor, sweatshops, and looming strikes haunt the inhabitants. The hall behind them no longer exists.

Jefferson Market Library was once the notorious Jefferson Market Courthouse. The Night Court judges were bribed by the shirtwaist manufacturers against the strikers. Their corruption sent hundreds to Blackwell’s Island Prison. Tragic events culminated in the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire of March 25, 1911.

Amateur sleuths Sophia and Pedro, now joined by their new associates, Jeb and Liza, understand their obligation to investigate and defend what is right.
