Sneak Peek into Eleven Days Toward Death, a Serial Novel on my Website

I hope you enjoy this serial novel, Eleven Days Toward Death | The Trials of Edna Mae Sinclair.

PROLOGUE

The Conway house sat back from Nobb Hill on the crescent of the town’s only hill. Adding a circular drive and a white-columned portico had transformed the plain, two-story limestone house into the grandest house in Hamilton, Kansas. Like the Conway family, the house was imposing.

Edna Mae Sinclair approached the great fortress through the back gate and paused to catch her breath. The day promised to turn into an inferno of heat by noon. Edna Mae forced her weary legs up the steps of the back porch and stooped to pick up the bottle of milk left earlier that morning.

The once shapely, dark-headed woman looked much older than her years. She clutched her worn handbag to her body like the glue that held her meager frame together. The screen door, swollen with heat, stuck fast as she tried to open it. Edna Mae won the tug of war and entered the Conway’s kitchen. She would soon regret she had not heeded the door’s advice.
